Biography I'm Cat Van Buren
I am a Freelance Illustrator based in Salem Ma, (Originally from Cape Cod, MA). Though I consider myself a mixed media artist, I primarily use digital programs (Procreate and Photoshop) as well as traditional pen and ink methods here and there. My art often ers on the side of gothic, taking inspirations from gothic literature, history, and the aesthetic of Victorian Spiritualism. I love cemeteries and often take walks there to reflect and come up with new ideas. I received my BFA in Illustration from the New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2019, with a minor in Art History. I was the last Graduating class of the college, which has now rebranded as IAD at NEC. |
